If the Meeting Owl app says "Meeting Owl could not connect to the selected network," follow the steps below.
- If MAC address filtering is enabled on your router, you will need to add Owl to your approved devices list.
- Ensure your Wi-Fi credentials are correct. You will get this message if you entered an incorrect password.
- Ensure you are not trying to connect to a WPA/WPA2 enterprise network. Your IT manager will have this information. If you need to supply a username and password, and you do not have terms and conditions to review, you may have a WPA/WPA2 enterprise network.
- If you have a WPA/WPA2 enterprise network, please connect to another network, or create a sub-network for Owl to connect to. This can be a hidden network if you don't want it to be visible to users.
- Ensure you are not trying to connect to a VPN or Proxy server.
- If you have a VPN or Proxy server, please connect to another network, or create a sub-network for Owl to connect to. This can be a hidden network if you don't want it to be visible to users.
- Unplug your Owl’s power adapter for 10 seconds, and plug back in.
- Ensure Owl is not currently in a meeting.
- Ensure your credentials are correct and try the setup process again
- Open the app and select your Meeting Owl from the Nearby Owls list
- Select the red bar that reads “This Owl is not connected to Wi-Fi. Tap here to fix.”
- Follow the prompts to connect to Wi-Fi.
- If problem persists, please connect to another network, or create a sub-network for Owl to connect to. This can be a hidden network if you don't want it to be visible to users.
