Using the Meeting Owl app, you can connect your Owl to the following supported networks:
- WPA2 + AES
- WPA + AES
- WPA + TKIP/AES
- WPA + TKIP
- WPA2 Personal / WPA2 - PSK
- Open Networks
The following Wi-Fi networks are unsupported:
- Captive portals. Captive portal support is experimental because we are unable to provide a reliable experience across the wide variation in captive portals.
The Owl may be compatible with certain captive portal networks. If you are able to successfully connect to your captive portal network through the app, the Owl is compatible. If your Captive Portal network has an expiration, you will need to reconnect once your password expires.
- Multi page captive portals. To determine if you have a multi-page captive portal, sign in to your network via a computer. If there is more than one page to click through in order to connect, it is a multi-page captive portal.
- WEP or WPA/WPA2 Enterprise Networks
Meeting Owl is incompatible with WEP or WPA/WPA2 Enterprise Networks. If you are required to enter both a username and password, you may have a WEP or WPA/WPA2 Enterprise Network.
If you have an unsupported Network, please see if your IT team can create a subnetwork for IoT devices like the Owl to live on. If you cannot create a subnetwork, contact Owl Labs Support.
